How we turned a cool hobby into a business
WE DECIDED TO START COVERED BRIDGE CELLARS AFTER DISCOVERING THE FUN and excitement of making small batches of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay in our garage. With both of us already in well established careers on the East Coast—not to mention short a couple million for a winery and vineyard site—turning our new hobby into a business never crossed our minds. That all changed when we came across a Fortune magazine article about San Francisco based Crushpad, a company that is changing the way new wine brands are launched. As aspiring entrepreneurs and wine lovers, we jumped at the opportunity to partner with the dedicated people behind this innovative company. Thus, the idea for Covered Bridge Cellars was born.
